Safeguarding

SPGS International School Chengdu is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and has a complete Safeguarding (Child Protection) Policy that is available to all staff and families.

Children have a fundamental right to be protected from harm and pupils cannot learn effectively unless they feel secure. As well as the Senior Pastoral Team, we have a designated Safeguarding Lead and all staff receive a comprehensive programme of training and guidance on safeguarding, pastoral and wellbeing issues. ‘SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING’ We require all members of our school community (staff, students and families) to remain vigilant of safeguarding issues and to always speak up if they suspect there is an issue.
