At SPGS International School Chengdu, we uphold the esteemed musical legacy of SPGS in London, where the arts are revered.

In our Junior School, students are exposed to a variety of musical genres and encouraged to join our Junior School Choir. In the Senior School, our commitment to musical excellence continues with opportunities to join orchestras, chamber ensembles, and choirs tailored to various ability and performance levels.

We are proud to be a partner of the Melbourne International Music Festival. This partnership offers our young aspiring musicians a unique platform to showcase their talents and participate in the festival’s exciting global programs.

Drama

At SPGS International School Chengdu, we provide a plethora of opportunities for students of all ages to immerse themselves in the captivating world of performing arts. Whether they’re interested in acting, directing, or design, our diverse range of clubs, societies, and visiting professional programs offer something for everyone.

Throughout the year, students eagerly anticipate our drama performances, held every term. These performances not only serve as platforms for students to showcase their talents but also offer the opportunity to obtain qualifications in speech and drama, such as those offered by LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art).

We take great pride in our collaborations with esteemed institutions like Faust from Hong Kong and QED Education. Through these partnerships, we host Drama Summer Camps aimed at nurturing students’ English-speaking abilities, fostering creativity, and building self-confidence. These camps provide a unique blend of theatrical training and language development, empowering students to express themselves with fluency and flair.
